Clean Bandit, Band beraliran musik British Electronic asal Cambridge,
England ini tengah meraih kesuksesan besar tahun ini berkat single Rather Be
yang langsung duduk di peringkat pertama UK Singles Chart. Single Rather Be
pertama kali dirilis pada Januari 2014 lalu merupakan jenis musik yang unik
dengan perpaduan musik klasik serta dance beat. Kepopuleran Rather Be membuat
single dari Clean Bandit ini duduk selama empat minggu berturut-turut di
peringkat atas.
Clean Bandit pertama
kali dibentuk pada tahun 2006 silam, dengan personil Jack Patterson bass, gitar
dan keyboard, Grace Chatto dengan Cello dan Milan Neil Amin-Smith di posisi
Violin. Ketiganya menjadi dekat setelah sama-sama tak lulus dari
University of Cambridge. Sedangkan nama band Clean Bandit sendiri berasal
dari bahasa Russia yang artinya “Complete Bastard”.
